Senior associate Amelia Sargent is presenting “Think Before You Send: Maintaining Privilege in Email Communications with Boards.”

Amelia’s presentation on March 21 during American Law Institute (ALI) CLE Legal Issues in Museum Administration 2019 covers the hidden risks of email communications and how to mitigate them as part a lawyer’s requirement to stay abreast of technology, as well as best practices to adhere to the ethical duties of confidentiality and competence.

The theme of the ALI CLE Legal Issues in Museum Administration 2019, co-sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution, is diversity. The conference will explore diversity through a variety of lenses including increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the museum field and programs, and diversifying collections. As the chair of Willenken’s art, cultural, and educational institutions practice group, this is Amelia’s seventh year attending the conference.
