Willenken is pleased to announce that Emily Viglietta has joined the firm as of counsel.
Emily’s practice is focused on complex civil litigation, intellectual property, and regulatory matters. She has extensive experience representing utilities and other regulated entities in complex regulatory proceedings and in federal court. Emily represents both corporate and individual clients in a wide range of complex matters across several industries, including entertainment and energy.
Prior to joining Willenken, Emily was of counsel at a litigation boutique, and spent five years as a litigation associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. Her work in private practice has spanned a broad range of substantive areas, including copyright, trade secrets, legal malpractice, idea submission, and profit participation. Emily also served as a senior litigation counsel at Warner Bros. Entertainment, where she managed active litigation and counseled the company on issues such as mitigating risk and responding to pre-litigation claims.

Emily earned her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and her B.A. from State University of New York Geneseo. Emily clerked for the Hon. Brian M. Cogan, in the Eastern District of New York, and interned for the Hon. Shira A. Scheindlin in the Southern District of New York. She graduated, magna cum laude, from Fordham Law School, where she served on the Fordham Law Review. Emily is the founding board president of El Rio Community School, a new charter school serving low-income elementary school students in Northeast Los Angeles. She also maintains an active pro bono practice.
