Amelia Sargent Teaches “Art and the Law” at UC Hastings College of the Law

    We are excited to let you know that Partner Amelia Sargent will once again teach the popular “Art and the Law” class at the University of California, Hastings College of Law.

    Amelia is the leader of Willenken’s Art, Cultural, and Educational Institutions Group, which provides counseling and litigation services to key players in the art industry. Amelia works with museums, galleries, universities, and nonprofits providing litigation advice and counseling on artists’ rights, First Amendment, copyright and fair use, trademarks, data privacy, technology transfers, governance and ethics, as well as cultural patrimony and public accountability investigations.

    Amelia also represents clients in appellate litigation and recently filed a merits-stage amicus curiae brief in two high-profile cases involving Holocaust-era assets before the U.S. Supreme Court.
