Willenken Commemorates Juneteenth

The partnership of Willenken LLP has made the decision to close the firm starting at 1:00pm on Friday, June 19, 2020 to allow our attorneys and staff to celebrate Juneteenth, a date traditionally held to commemorate the ending of slavery in the United States.

We encourage everyone to use this time to learn more about the historical context of Juneteenth, and how the long shadow of slavery affects today’s conversations around the existence of systemic racism in all aspects of American society.

As a minority-owned firm that has always embraced and celebrated diversity, we are determined not to be complacent in the face of injustice, and to recommit our efforts to build, and keep, a community and workplace where all can thrive.
