Willenken LLP partner Peter Shimamoto was appointed to the Advisory Board for the UCLA Law Executive Education program, “Strategic AI for Legal Professionals.”
The program is designed for attorneys, in-house counsel, and law firm leaders navigating the legal, ethical, and business implications of artificial intelligence. Through a curriculum focused on intellectual property, privacy, cybersecurity, legal research, governance, and regulation, the program aims to help legal professionals apply sound legal judgment in an increasingly AI-driven world.
“Lawyers are increasingly being asked to advise on AI-related issues across industries. Programs like this provide a valuable opportunity to examine key issues thoughtfully and from multiple perspectives. I look forward to joining in the conversation,” Peter shares.
Peter brings more than three decades of litigation, arbitration, and appellate experience to the board, with a practice spanning complex commercial, IP, entertainment, and technology-related disputes. He joins fellow advisors from the legal, business, and technology industries in helping to inform the program’s continued development.
