Willenken LLP is pleased to announce that Managing Partner Kenneth Trujillo-Jamison was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Los Angeles County Law Library.
The Friends of the LA County Law Library advances access to justice through fundraising, advocacy, and community engagement in support of the library. Founded in 1891, the LA Law Library is the second-largest public law library in the United States, after the Law Library of Congress.
With a collection of approximately one million volumes, the LA Law Library serves judges, attorneys, government officials, and members of the public, including individuals who cannot afford legal representation. The library’s free legal information, educational programs, and resources help more than 120,000 people annually understand their rights and navigate the legal system.
“We are delighted to welcome Kenneth to the Friends board. He is a respected leader and a generous member of our community, and we are grateful he is joining us to support the LA Law Library,” says Jeff Kichaven, Chair of the Friends of the LA County Law Library.
Kenneth joins a board composed of leaders from prominent law firms, corporations, and public institutions across Southern California who share a commitment to expanding access to justice.
“I have long believed that lawyers have a responsibility to contribute to the communities we serve. I am grateful for the opportunity to support the LA Law Library and the important resources it provides to the public,” says Kenneth.
Willenken congratulates Kenneth on this appointment and looks forward to supporting the important work of the board and library.
