A skilled and versatile litigator, Sharon Song represents clients in complex commercial, data privacy, and class action matters in both federal and state courts. Sharon’s practice spans all stages of litigation—from strategy development and motion practice to depositions, settlement negotiations, and trial. Clients value her ability to quickly break down complicated issues, develop innovative strategies, and deliver results in high-stakes disputes.

Sharon’s experience includes defending Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, and technology leaders in bet-the-company matters. She has served as lead associate on a variety of cases to secure dismissals of class actions alleging privacy and consumer protection violations and obtain favorable resolutions in contract, fraud, and RICO matters.

Recently, Sharon completed a secondment with LinkedIn Corporation, where she advised on global litigation strategy, negotiated a class action settlement, managed outside counsel, and ensured compliance with evolving privacy laws and user policies.

Prior to joining Willenken, Sharon practiced at Cooley LLP and other leading litigation firms in Los Angeles.

Sharon earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was the Supervising Editor of the Harvard Journal on Legislation and externed with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Economic Crimes Unit. She graduated cum laude from Harvard College with a B.A. in sociology. She’s conversant in Korean.

Outside of the courtroom, Sharon enjoys pickleball and crime shows like Sherlock Holmes and Law & Order.

  • Served as the lead associate on a team that defended a private international bank in a lawsuit asserting RICO claims and helped secure a favorable resolution for the client two weeks before trial.
  • Obtained dismissals of class actions filed against global technology companies alleging violations of privacy laws and consumer protection statutes.
  • Represented a multinational engineering company in an investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office into criminal fraud allegations and conducted over 30 witness interviews.
  • Represented a real estate company in a breach of contract dispute over a property worth over $500 million.
  • Secured dismissal of counterclaims pled by the writers’ guilds against the largest talent agencies in a heavily publicized antitrust dispute over the agencies’ packaging fees.
  • Served as a member of a trial team that obtained a favorable jury verdict for a network and cybersecurity company in a patent infringement lawsuit.
  • Secured a dismissal with prejudice in a securities fraud class action.
