Trends in Trade Secrets

View the live recording here of a webinar presented by Amelia Sargent, Aarti Wilson of Amazon, and Julie Cheng of New Bamboo Consulting.

“Trends in Trade Secrets,” hosted by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Solo & Small Firm Network, covers the most recent caselaw updates on trade secret protection, including the definition of trade secrets and its enforcement provisions.

Amelia, Aarti, and Julie review how trade secret protection has evolved from common law and the Uniform Trade Secrets Act (UTSA) to now including federal protection under the Defend Trade Secrets Act, 18 U.S.C. § 1836, et seq. (DTSA). They discuss the impact of DTSA and preemption, and provide tips and tactics relevant to both outside and in-house counsel in thinking about protecting trade secrets and trade secret litigation.

Willenken has been a proud member of NAPABA since 2002, and Jason Wilson currently serves as co-chair of the NAPABA Solo & Small Firms Network webinar series.
