Only 20 specialty firms across California are selected annually as a “Top Boutique” by Daily Journal, and this year Willenken earned a spot on the coveted list.
“Top Boutiques 2018,” an exclusive supplement to Daily Journal’s Los Angeles and San Francisco publications, featured Willenken as a leading firm for complex commercial litigation. This is the second year the firm has been named on this elite list, the first being 2015.
In their interview with Daily Journal on behalf of the firm, Paul Loh, Amelia Sargent, and Jason Wilson discussed how the firm has grown since its founding in 2002 by achieving numerous trial victories, recruiting top talent, and fostering a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture. Amelia reflected on her first day as an associate at Willenken when Jason told her she would second chair a breach of contract suit.
“My eyes got very big but then Jason said, ‘Don’t worry because at this firm a trial is an opportunity and not a crisis.'”
— Amelia Sargent to Daily Journal reporter Blaise Scemama
The article highlighted the firm’s dedicated focus on winning and, as Jason noted, “getting great results for our clients.”
